What’s the best getaway car? GRiP Magazine seeks to find out.

Now this is the type of video that I wished would have been shot in the United States (it’s in German). GRiP Magazine felt the need to answer a specific question for its viewers. If you were being chased down by the German Police, what car would you choose as your getaway vehicle. The goal of each car chase is pretty obvious; get to the finish line before the officer in the nice little BMW catches you and tosses your ass in jail. The outlaw players in the bunch are an Audi TT-RS tuned by MTM, a Dodge Challenger SRT8 that I think is supercharged and what looks to be a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S tuned by Techart

Hyundai’s Big Guns to get All-Wheel Drive.

Hyundai’s Big Guns to get All-Wheel Drive.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 5 years then you’re well aware that Hyundai is positioning itself to take over the automotive world and with cars like the Genesis Coupe, Sedan and Equus they may just succeed. Hyundai started out as a small import car company back in the mid-1980′s, but due to enhanced quality control, aggressive marketing and a great price leading strategy they’ve been able to position themselves as one of the big players in the import car market. There is no question that Honda and Toyota, two of Hyundai’s biggest competitors used to have the majority of the market share, but alas, that is no more. In another strategy to lure consumers away from their competition Hyundai’s American CEO John Krafcik announced that three of Hyundai’s best models will be getting all-wheel drive in the not to distant future. The Genesis sedan and Coupe, as well as the brand new Equus will all receive all-wheel-drive in yet another move that is poised to help Hyundai secure an even greater position amongst not only other imports from Asia, but those from Europe as well.

On a more mundane note, the Fire Orange Metallic M3 will have black exterior accents and 19-inch wheels, while black Novilla leather will coat the inside and orange tiger heads are embroidered into the headrests. Only 250 M3 Tigers are set for production, and that may be 249 more than the world needs. Hat tip to Ragan! I love the BMW E30. If you read this site, you probably love it too. Here’s a great little homebrew video of one, in a genre which used to be called “road test” before Top Gear came along. More
